Corona Blog

Throughout the year we’ve read a wide variety of primary sources — speeches, sermons, essays, journals, etc.  Today you are living history, and you have the opportunity to create a primary source of your own.  To that end, we are asking you to practice your writing skills as well as your skills as a historian, by writing for 15-20 minutes per day on your edublog focused on your own observations of American society and the Corona Virus.

Use your own unique perspective, point of view, and interests to craft your entries.  If you are a scientist, focus on the scientific aspects of the process.  Interested in the arts? How is this impacting the creation and sharing of art? If you’re interested in psychology, how do you see people responding to the crisis?

As a historian, think about things YOU are experiencing that you could tell someone 50 or 100 years in the future to help him or her understand what is really going on today.  Think about how your own experiences are impacting your understanding of the situation as a whole.

All blog entries will be checked after 11:59 on Friday night, and each student is expected to have 4 entries for the week of March 16 – 20.
